RESUMEN

Constantemente se efectúan juicios estéticos en todos los ámbitos de la vida, estos están hechos con absoluta libertad y expresan nuestra completa autonomía. Pero, ¿cómo sabemos que estos juicios son correctos? Una rama de la filosofía, la estética, trata de dar respuesta a esta pregunta. Este estudio pretende averiguar si existe una norma del gusto, en él estudiaremos por qué decimos que algo es bello, compararemos los modelos estéticos de Hume y Kant y determinaremos cómo el juicio estético de un sujeto afecta a su relación con el medio o el entorno donde se relaciona. Para ello, hemos empleado únicamente investigación cualitativa, en concreto, hemos recurrido a dos autores que son considerados la representación de la estética moderna, Hume y Kant, cuyas obras Norma del gusto y Crítica del juicio presentan una visión acerca del juicio estético que ha tenido una gran repercusión. Los resultados encontrados en este estudio determinarán que lo que realmente hace que algo sea bello para nosotros es la experimentación de un placer desinteresado que nos causa impresión. Además, concluiremos en que cuando nuestro gusto coincide con otra persona nos sentimos afines a ella. Por último, a la incógnita del gusto, Hume recomendaría fiarse de los buenos jueces mientras que Kant, por el contrario, sugeriría fiarse de uno mismo.

ABSTRACT

Aesthetic judgements are constantly made in all areas of life, they are made with absolute freedom and express our complete autonomy. But how do we know that these judgements are correct? One branch of philosophy, aesthetics, tries to answer this question. This study aims to find out if there is a norm of taste, in it we will study why we say that something is beautiful, we will compare the aesthetic models of Hume and Kant and we will determine how the aesthetic judgement of a subject affects his or her relationship with the environment or surroundings where he or she relates to the environment. To do this, we have used only qualitative research, specifically, we have resorted to two authors who are considered the representation of modern aesthetics, Hume and Kant, whose works Of the Standard of Taste and The Critique of Judgment present a vision of aesthetic judgement that has had a great repercussion. The results found in this study will determine that what really makes something beautiful for us is the experience of a disinterested pleasure that makes an impression on us. Furthermore, we will conclude that when our taste agrees with another person, we feel affinity with them. Finally, to the question of taste, Hume would recommend trusting good judges, while Kant, on the other hand, would suggest trusting oneself.
