RESUMEN

Con la intención de establecer una cría de animales más sostenible y respetuosa tanto con el medio ambiente como con los animales en cuestión, se lleva a cabo un estudio sobre una explotación ganadera tradicional, la cual se en-cuentra poco eficiente a la hora de trabajar en la actualidad. La explotación en concreto es una explotación cunícola construida 50 años atrás, donde, hasta el cese de su actividad en 2016 se practicaba la cría de conejos de manera tradi-cional. Los objetivos generales de este trabajo son tanto la adaptación de la infraestructura a una producción ecoló-gica, como el estudio de la rentabilidad de esta explotación. Para ello se lleva a cabo una metodología tanto cualita-tiva como cuantitativa, para determinar las distintas inversiones que hay que llevar a cabo para adaptar la produc-ción a ecológico. Con estos datos y los obtenidos con el cálculo de los costes de mantenimiento de la explotación se lleva a cabo el estudio de amortización y rentabilidad. También se tantea el mercado ecológico, evaluando mediante entrevistas la aceptación que este producto tendría en comercios de la Región de Murcia. Todo lo anterior nos lleva a que, con la venta a 15€/kg de carne de conejo (1,5kg por conejo aprox.), la explotación estaría amortizada en un plazo de 10 años, pero, para esto se necesitaría vender un total de 7250 conejos anuales, lo que, tras el estudio de mercado, sería improbable.

ABSTRACT

With the aim of establishing a more sustainable and respectful animal husbandry both with the environment and with the animals in question, a study on a traditional livestock farm is carried out, which seems inefficient when working at present. The farm in particular is a rabbit farm built 50 years ago, where, until the cessation of its activi-ty in 2016, rabbit breeding was practised in the traditional way. The general objectives of this work are both the adaptation of the infrastructure to an ecological production and the study of the profitability of this exploitation. For this, both qualitative and quantitative methodology is carried out, to show us the different investments that must be carried out to adapt the production to an organic one are considered. With these data and those obtained with the calculation of the maintenance costs of the exploitation, the study of amortization and profitability is ca-rried out. The organic market is also tested, evaluating through interviews the acceptance that this product would have in the shops of the Region of Murcia. All of the above leads us to the fact that, with the sale of 15€/kg of rabbit meat (approximately 1.5kg per rabbit), the exploitation would be amortized within a period of 10 years, but, for this, it would be necessary to sell a total of 7,250 rabbits per year, which, after the market study, would be unlikely.
